We extend a warm welcome to Brian Frice, one of our San Diego Diocese seminarians who has been assigned to our parish for the months of July and August. His ministry here is part of his formation and preparation for the priesthood. During his time with us Brian will be participating in as many aspects of parish life as possible: Liturgy, Communion Services, youth ministry, various meetings and organizations, visits to the sick and homebound, baptisms, wedding and funeral planning, adoration, faith formation, Vacation Bible Camp, and the social events of the community. Brian will be returning to the North American College in Rome in September where he will resume his studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University and prepare for his ordination to the diaconate in October 2011 and priesthood in June 2012. Please keep him and our other seminarians in your prayers and when you see him let him know we are truly blessed to have him with us. Born: Brian Thomas Frice, August 4, 1978 Parishes: St. Rose of Lima, Chula Vista Interests: History, Parish life, Music, Travel, Baseball, Football, Movies, Action/Suspense novels. Greatest Joy: Family and friends, the gift of discerning a call to the priesthood, the love and warmth of all the people of God that I have met. Hope for this Assignment: To learn from the many wonderful people here at St. Martin's and to serve in whatever way I can. To continue to grow and improve as a candidate for the priesthood. |
